The Gospel of John is an amazing account of the life of Jesus. Rather than a time-based and sequential account of events in Jesus’ life here, John pulls back the curtain and explains deep foundations and lofty truths. He gives a different perspective into the reasons below, behind, and above what Jesus says and does, even reaching far into who Jesus truly is. As you will hear shortly, there is much more than meets the eye concerning the words and works of Jesus in his earthly work as the Promised One.
The account of Jesus’ interaction with Nicodemus resembles a diamond, the beauty of Christ shining through many facets put on display in John’s account. Pastor Nick Batzig, whom I met in person years ago at a conference for pastors, preaches through this passage in the following sermon. God has blessed many people through Nick’s hard work for the church broadly. Here is an opportunity for you to be blessed through his ministry as well.
