The simplicity of God is getting a fair amount of attention in the last few years, along with several other facets of Nicene Trinitarian theology. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the idea of the simplicty of God… which is not surprising. This is a historic doctrine of theology proper which has been neglected for quite some time in systematics and academic theological writing in general.
Let’s fix the mystery and spend some time listening in on Christ the Center podcast, hosted by Camden Bucey and Jeff Waddington. Their special guest is Ryan Hurd, who has spent time translating some of the works of Gisbertus Voetius. In this episode of Christ the Center, the gents will be discussing a specific disputation by Voetius which may prove helpful to bring you into due consideration of the simplicity of God.
